Construction is 1mm plasticard with detail bits in other thickness. The windows are clear plasticard with black lining tape. My biggest problem was the colour, which is still not correct. It was made by mixing Humbrol paints. There will be a false wall at the back painted black which will strengthen the building.

I have bought two of their Mk48s and a Tu2. Someone on another forum is doing the drawings to make a Garrett using them and it is difficult to get a smooth finish. I will get some photos of the ones I have. I don't know any more about them, though!

Koupil jsem si dva z jejich Mk48s a TU2. Někdo na jiném fóru, je dělá kresby, aby se Garrett jejich použití, a je obtížné se dostat hladký povrch. Dostanu nějaké fotky z těch, co mám. Nevím nic víc o nich, i když!

From normal viewing distance it does not look as bad. Close up photos do make it worse!

Looks great, like a real surface. You are right, photos always make it worse (especially at photos with me ). Models from Czech producers aren`t very smooth too, but Surfacer and a lot of rubbing (or gridings, I don`t know what is right ) makes it better.

I have been told that a wooden stirrer (for use in coffee cups!) does it well... Sanding it down does not seem to help, and removes the detail as well!

Sorry, wooden stirrer is a tool to shake a coffe? I have never heard this and that`s right, sanding removes the details, but at models that I mean details aren`t very good, so we even thought must make them new (from plastic or yellow metal or homemade from anything that suits )

And sorry about my english, I`m only student and I don`t know all special vocabulary.

PVA (White) Glue, though it is not as smooth as it looks in the photos! I have to make up a proper backscene from some photos I took when I was over last year...
