Domnívám se, že program iTrain může být zajímavé téma. Dosud bylo nenápadně ukyté mezi obeckými příspěvky k DCC, nicméně se jedná o komplexní program na ovládání kolejiště, v zásadě dospělý konkurent k TC. Více na https://www.berros.eu/en/itrain/, kde lze stáhnout jednak manuál v angličtině, jednak kompletní program. Program není freeware, cena je poněkud nižší, než za TC. Ale pozor, pokud si program stáhnete, funguje i bez licence a to s omezením na 32 položek příslušenství a 3 lokomotivy. Dále nefungují zpětné vazby, ale i tak ideální použití je na ovládání menšího (domácího) kolejiště, kde pro ovládání lokomotiv používáme stávající ruční ovladače (v mém případě např. DAISY II) a pro layout zcela komfortně iTrain. I bez licence se dají programovat trasy (Track Route), kdy se na jedno SW tlačítko přiřadí příslušné prvky. A pozor - s vhodnou ústřednou, která to umožňuje - funguje i bezdrátové spojení s počítačem přes Wifi. Základní instruktáž k použití je též zřejmá z Youtube, např. tady: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGNg5uMI6CY . Program je laděn více pro uživatele MAC, ale i pod W10 funguje bez problémů.

Pokud někdo o programu po vyzkoušení viz výše vážně uvažuje, lze si bezplatně na oficiálním webu vyžádat heslo pro 2- měsíční plný přístup (nejlevnější verze Lite). Tím také dostanete přihlašovací údaje na diskustní fórum (zaznamenal jsem tam i někoho z CZ...). Věnoval jsem tomu už pár dnů, takže s některými věcmi jsem už schopen poradit (prosím přes SZ). Každopádně: už nyní jsem tak na 60% nalomený si ten program pořídit pro plně automatický provoz domácího kolejiště místo TC.

In this tutorial we create a second Action which detects when the train has entered a block for the third time, and then triggers the execution of commands which start a different train on a route. The two Actions combined use a virtual Aspect and operate as a kind of counter.
A new Subtitles method has been added to this video, and now supports Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish translations.
Turn on Subtitles by clicking on the Subtitle button, and select the language using the Settings button.
For those that get to the end of the tutorial, there is bonus footage showing the Actions performing on a real test layout.
It’s an N gauge layout, using Peco track.
The trains are controlled by a BiDiB Bidirectional Bus Station controller, and the MTB MP5 point motors are controlled by a DR5000 connected to a DR4018.
On my main 00 layout everything will be BiDiB controlled.
Ignore the reversing loop that you can see. That’s for some future experiments.
This test layout is mounted on an old lightweight flat door, and everything is mounted on the top side of it, which makes it very easy to pack away and move to different areas of the house. And being N scale I was able to fit everything conveniently within the size of the door.

Mohl bys tady ukázat pár snímků obrazovky s vytvořeným layoutem, aby bylo možné si udělat představu například o možnostech zobrazení ve srovnání s TC, PanelPro a ModelJOP?

Na přání Honzy nyní konečně mohu uvést příklad, jak by mohl vypadat layout vytvořený editorem v iTrainu. Protože je free verze limitovaná 32 položkami příslušenství, musel jsem si již dopředu koupit licenci (ačkoliv moje kolejiště se stále teprve buduje). Pro srovnání ještě snímek skutečného rozvržení dle WT. Vytvoření trochu učesaného schematu, aby se to dobře vešlo na obrazovku, bez křížení apod. trvalo cca 8 hod (netto), dalších 16 hod pak definice příslušenství a zpětných vazeb. Samozřejmě to ještě nekončí, nejprve se vyzkouší, zda výhybky a ostatní příslušenství "reaguje" na povely z iTrainu, opraví se případné chyby v adresách apod. a pak se teprve nadefinují bloky.

Mělo by, viz manual str. 183 (sekce Downloads - https://www.berros.eu/en/itrain/installation.php). Sám tuto ústřednu nevlastním, tak nemohu podat přesnější informace.

Na specializovaném fóru pro iTrain se objevil dokument "Step by Step", vytvořený před časem jedním holandským uživatelem jako co nejstručnější návod pro začátečníky. Sice pro předchozí verzi 3, ale základy jsou stejné. Nyní je k dispozici anglická verze (přeloženo spíše s pomocí strýčka Googla, ale je to srozumitelné). Pokud někoho tento program zajímá, mohl by začít tímto dokumentem, ze kterého získá aspoň základní "dojem" z tohoto pragramu a nemusí ztrácet čas s několikaset stránkovým manuálem.

Ten layout kolejiště již je konečná verse layoutu který buduješ?
U softwarů je problémem že se těžko najde někdo, kdo jich bude znát do podrobností několik a bude schopen a ochoten je porovnat. Záleží také na tom jaká je představa uživatele, například zda bude chtít možnost naprogramování automatického provozu, nebo mu bude stačit možnost ovládání výhybek a návěstidel a stavění cest. TrainController je pravděpodobně nejuniversalnější a disponuje funkcemi které žádný jiný nemá, je ovšem otázkou kolik jich uživatel skutečně využije.

Ahoj, ano, je to v podstatě finální verze. TC má jistě spoustu možností, pro iTrain jsem se rozhodl spíš pocitově bez nějaké podrobné analýzy. Připadalo mi to uživatelsky přívětivější a modernější. Konkrétní argumenty ale zatím nemám. Mám informace, že vývoj systému stále probíhá, je to tedy živý systém a snad má dobrou perspektivu. Samozřejmě, že systém umožňuje také automatický provoz. Zatím jsem ve fázi poučeného začátečníka, pokud narazím na nějaké zajímavosti nebo limity, dám informaci.

Vývoj probíhá u každého softwaru, ostatně u TC je to zřejmé. V čem spatřuješ modernost a vyšší uživatelskou přívětivost,z čeho tak soudíš, pokud jsi TC nezkoušel? Nemyslím si že je TC nejlepší na světě, určitě má dost funkci které jiné softwary nemají, ovšem je otázkou, kolik jich který uživatel skutečně využije. Pro české prostředí je asi nejlepší ModelJOP, uživatelskou přívětivost nedokážu posoudit, nikdy jsem s nim aktivně nepracoval. Velmi dobře odpovídá JOP, ovšem pravděpodobně je zaměřen na vlastní ovládání a asi nebude mít některé funkce určené pro využití čistě pro hru. Ale neznám ho a možná se pletu a podceňuju ho.

Honzo, jistě můžeš mít pravdu. Nemohu bohužel srovnávat, protože jsem jiné SW nikdy nevyzkoušel. Ber to tedy, že to je další SW na trhu a někdo ho prostě používá a sleduje. Možná jsem v ČR skoro sám (na příslušném fóru jsem viděl jednoho Čecha, který s tím snad provozuje zahradní železnici), ale v zahraničí to není zase takový exot (hodně Holandsko - samozřejmě, GB, Francie, Švédsko, ale i třeba Austrálie). Možná jednou, až narazím na nepřekonatelné nedostatky, se pokorně zařadím do šiku uživatelů TC :D .

V každém případě to chce odvahu začít používat SW který není v ČR rozšířen. Rozuměj bez uživatelské základny pro výměnu zkušeností. Držím palce. Ať se daří.
Stavím pro zábavu ne pro 100% věrohodnost. Zábava je to oč tu běží.

díky. Ale není to tak strašné, celkem bez problémů jsem se dostal do stavu, kdy to ovládá všechna příslušenství, mohu plně používat pro ruční provoz, kdy si myší nastavím cesty. Ještě jsem neudělal, ale je to jen otázka si sednout v klidu k PC, naprogramovat předvolené cesty na jedno tlačítko (tj. třeba z 1. koleje dolního nádraží na 3. kolej SN atd. atd.). V automatickém provozu jsem zatím vyzkoušel náhodný provoz, kdy ti vlaky jezdí podle nějakého pseudonáhodného algoritmu, zastavují ve stanicích, některé čekají apod. Teď jsem to na čas odložil, protože musím pokročit na kolejišti - dodělat podklad pro krajinu, prostě trochu to dát do kupy (nerad bych skončil s kolejištěm v hnědém balakrylu) :D .

Pokud správně chápu, už jezdíš a staví se krajina. Rád bych někdy ten iTrain viděl v provozu.

K ježdění to má daleko. Zprovoznil jsem to do stavu, kdy chodí všechno příslušenství a zpětné vazby. To znamená, že "se dá jezdit". Ale třeba návěstidla a lampy mám v paticích a ještě nejsou fyzicky na místě. V této fázi jsem vyzkoušel základní funkce iTrainu jak jsem tady psal, jsou definovány bloky, stanice a ostatní věci, které systém potřebuje pro automatiku, jsou naprogramovány adresy. Vyzkoušel jsem se dvěma mašinama automatický provoz (random provoz). Chovalo se to docela pěkně, dokonce Kocour zastavoval přesně před návěstidlem a plynule brzdil, ačkoliv jsem vůbec nenastavoval křivky rychlosti. Diagnostika nehlásí žádné tvrdé chyby, ale to v podstatě znamená, že teď je kolejiště ve stavu, kdy by se teprve mělo pořádně začít programovat :) . No ale protože jsem hrozně natěšený na krajinařinu, tak jsem to stopnul, přikryl igelitem a začal s terénem. Chci se k tomu vrátit, jakmile bude aspoň základ, jinak bych jezdil furt po holých prkýnkách. Stav k datu viz foto.

Jestli jsi četl Tři muži na toulkách od JKJ, tak tam tuším George říká: na kole se buďto jezdí, nebo se opravuje. Oboje najednou nejde, to žádný bicykl nesnese. No a s tím mým kolejištěm to je podobně. Ale snad kolem Vánoc jsem si dal termín, že si taky zase zajezdím. Pokud budeš chtít, rád předvedu...

Držím palce ať se dílo daří a nabídku předvedení rád příjmu. Pokud bych v něčem mohl pomoci, jsem k dispozici. Random provoz je prima hlavně pro návštěvy, ani nevím, zda TC něco takového má. Ale i sám se člověk rád občas pokochá. V tomhle jsem asi dost odlišný od většiny modeláŕů, vůbec mne nebaví posun a vlečky.
